I think my favourite thing about this is how the light appears to be coming out of the centre of the frame in waves - it looks like reverberations / echoes after that intitial 'bang.' I have no idea how you captured this (what kind of movement etc) or what the scene looked like before the capture, but I do know one thing: I don't want to know, as I think that would ruin the magic here
I hadnīt introduced my camera into my host family setting until yesterday - I felt whipping out the camera and shooting in the first week would be premature and perhaps rude - Iīll leave that for the last couple days. Although yesterday (Or the day before, Iīve lost track of time and space) I couldnīt resist as my 6 year old īlittle brotherī was curled up on the couch in the light of the setting sun. I wish I had gone for a closer frame, but heīs still adorable. Then I shot a picture of the other little brother because I thought I should.. hah. Once Iīve filled my card Iīll burn it to a cd and send along the photos, though thatīll be a while yet, as I havenīt been shooting much. I should though, itīs beautiful here. I should also explore more, but I tend to be a lazy ass when there isnīt a certain someone to drag me around, hah

I understand what you mean about introducing the camera at the right time - I think I'd find it awkward as well with the language barrier etc. It would be really cool to see the boy sleeping at sunset though - you have a knack for people shots like that and it sounds like a great photograph!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
