For many of us roses remind us of something. A lover, a friend, an achievement, a death. Whatever the memory may be, good or bad, memories are our greatest treasures. They are the one treasure you can truly keep hidden away from the world, or exposed for all to see.
Personally, the rose used in the shoot was from my grandmother's funeral. A person i treasure with all my heart, these memories of her are all i have left, and they are my greatest treasure.




Nothing done to this aside from cropping and adding the border. Model is myself...

welcome... what I was trying to articulate before (I think) was I love how the dress, and by association, the model, is sort of a metaphor for the rose, or so it seemed to me. The color and whatnot. I love it, though. So great job. Heh, this is what you *should've* gotten from my previous comment. ;)

i'm a metaphor for the rose? just out of curiousity why do you think that? i thought the same thing.. but i'm just curious as to what your reasoning is...

Honestly, I didn't see the rose at first... and it doesn't make sense to value just a rose. I mean, it's *just* a flower, but if you are the rose, then... heh, somehow it all just makes much more sense. I dunno, my logic right now doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but that's what I think of it. Glad I'm not alone on that.
